Hannah Staudinger

Experience: Over six years of teaching experience across a wide range of settings, including private lessons, group instrument classes, chamber groups, and band rehearsals. Hannah has taught students at the elementary, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. She has taught oboe performance and reed making to collegiate students at Boston University and Northeastern University, and currently teaches oboe in the Westwood Public Schools Prodigy Program.

Studied: Peabody Institute (B.M. in Music Performance and Music Education); Boston University (M.M., Doctor of Musical Arts in Oboe Performance).

Specializes in: Classical and contemporary repertoire; music literacy; sound production; healthy technique; and building strong foundational skills from the beginning. Strong background in music theory and aural skills, with experience supporting students with diverse learning styles, including ADHD.

Approach: Hannah’s teaching style is calm, supportive, and highly individualized. She emphasizes clear routines and strong music literacy to help students learn how to approach new music independently. Her lessons focus on understanding both the mechanics and musical intent behind what students are playing, using positive, confidence-building feedback to encourage growth. Hannah aims to create a welcoming environment where students feel supported, motivated, and connected to the emotional power of music.
