Malachi Provenzano

Instruments: Violin and Viola

Experience: Teaches over fifteen students in both violin and viola working for several music institutions throughout the Boston area. Has taught for over five years, and has studied violin since the age of four, performing in orchestra, chamber music, and solo concerts.

Studied: Studied at Mannes Prep in highschool, attended Boston Conservatory under the tutelage of Sharan
Leventhal for his Bachelor’s, and now is pursuing his Masters Degree at Boston University studying under Bayla Keyes.

Specializes in: Primarily western classical music, but also loves bluegrass and folk traditions of many countries and cultures, and tries to incorporate many different styles of music in his teaching.

Approach: I strive to give all of my students the technical and musical tools that they need to foster a love for the instrument that they play. Technique is very important to me, but for technique to become important to a student, they first need to love playing music, so I spend a lot of time playing with my students during lessons and asking them questions about the music they are practicing.
