Approach: I use a combination of reading and ear training when working with students. My goal is to find out a student's music interest and find songs that they will want to play. Of course, it is important to make sure that the fundamentals and technique of playing are there. I tend to end lessons with a little bit of ear training and music games. I teach musical vocabulary as it relates to the individual songs we are working on.
